What sustainable manufacturing actually means here
Plenty of suppliers say their garments are sustainable. The questions worth asking are what the fabric is made from, who audits the factory, and whether anyone can produce the paperwork. Here is where Game Day Manufacturing stands on each of those.
Recycled polyester and GRS accreditation
Our eco-friendly fabrics use recycled polyester, and our plant holds Global Recycling Standard (GRS) accreditation. GRS is a chain of custody standard, which means the recycled content is tracked through the supply chain rather than simply claimed at the end of it. Accreditations and certificates are available on request.
Audited every year by PUMA
Our facility is audited and accredited annually by PUMA. An international sportswear brand running its own audit against its own sustainability standards is a far harder test than a self assessment, and it is the clearest evidence we can give a club or a distributor that the standards hold up year after year.
Packaging that dissolves
Individual garments ship in PVA water soluble bags with no XOX and no microplastic. They dissolve in water. For a club unpacking 200 playing tops, that is 200 polybags that never reach landfill.
Sublimation is a low water process
Dye sublimation bonds the design into the fabric using heat rather than water baths and rinse cycles, so there is no dye effluent to treat and no screens to wash down between colour changes. It is also why the print does not crack or peel, which keeps garments in service longer.
What this means for your order
You can put a recycled content claim on your kit and back it up. For clubs with a sustainability policy, for schools, and for brands and distributors answering their own customers, that paperwork matters more than a logo on a website.
